Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

Thursday March 29th, 2012

Yesterday was for another Oscar nominee for Best Picture, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

Based upon the homonymous book by Jonathan Safran Foer, the film portrays the despair of a boy who loses his father at 9/11. The pain, the mother who tries to reconnect to her son, the memories, each character’s internal pressures…

More than enough reasons to burst into tears!

It’s not a phenomenal movie… But it certainly made me cry my heart out! I was sobbing by the time the final credits hit the screen…

Special mention to Max Von Sydow’s (who plays the boy’s grandfather!) performance. So candid… Flawless!

How about you? Did you see it? Enjoyed it? Cried a lot?

😉
