I’m late. I know. But, for Carnival reasons, I was only able to go to the exhibition of the fantastic Tarsila do Amaral by now. Better late than never,, right? The important thing is that I was able to make it. And it was (really!) worth it!
There are 85 pieces, among paintings, drawings, objects and prints. A bit of everything. There was even a stole she used to wear, which got to be exhibited for the first time. A binocular she used to carry around to watch races and plays, along with many other personal objects which make the exhibition even more special.
ATTENTION PEOPLE FROM RIO: This is the first individual Tarsila exhibit in Rio de Janeiro in over 40 years. So it’s MANDATORY! I selected some pieces (my favorites!) to warm you up… The exhibition is on until April 29, at CCBB. Rush to see it!
I’d love to have this self-portrait of hers at my house. So gorgeous!
