Skyfall

I went to see the latest James Bond film to please my boys a bit! I have to admit I’m not very into those movies with endless sequels. There’s kind of a “I’ve-seen-it-all-before” feeling to it, you know? But when Javier Bardem is in the cast, all prejudices go away.

I enjoyed it. Good entertainment. Fun for the whole family. That’s an issue at my house. Finding something that everyone can enjoy is no easy task. And that’s a crowd-pleaser kind of movie. I mean, I don’t love it. It’s not a touching, thought-provoking film. Far from it. But we all know that when it comes to 007, right? It’s the 23rd film about the agent. So we know exactly what to expect. And, within the expectations, it’s just fine!

Daniel Craig is alright as the lead, but what really got to me was Javier Bardem’s astonishing performance (I’m a fan) as the villain.

Words don’t seem to be enough to describe him… Exquisite! Fantastic! Genius. One of the few actors whose characters are nothing like each other, or even himself, in real life. It’s like all those people didn’t come from the same person, you get what I mean? Anyway, I’m a huge fan. And he’s incredible in this movie.

Not to mention the theme song is by Adele! Yes, the same that’s playing on the radio. That warm, cosy, delightful voice…

Adele + Javier make it totally worth the tickets, right?
