I’m a huge fan of street art. I’m so excited about being able to see the works of artists I love the most from very close. Not to mention all the museums… But I swear the impact on me is the same: either in the museum or in an ordinary corner. I love a well-done grafitti. The excitement of seeing a Banksy from real close is the same (or even bigger!) as seeing the Mona Lisa. I swear!
He’s one of my favorites. I’ve talked about him here, remember? In my (most humble!) opinion, he’s one of the best, and with a really good cause, since most of his drawings are always a protest about something.
That means an action of his can’t go unnoticed. Yesterday I saw some friends reproducing his new stencil work on instagram and I rushed to google it and see who it was. If you know him, you’ll get to recognize his work on the spot. Check it out:
Amazing, isn’t it?
The young Asian boy with a decades-old sewing machine making Union Jacks at Whymark avenue, at the Turnpike Lane area, in London. I read at a British website that it was a criticism to the employment of child work to produce decoration objects and souvenirs to the royalty. Makes sense…
What do you think?
Counting the days to be there and see it all live!
